About Leslie Wells

From a young age, I have been drawn to the quiet moments and the way light transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary. My camera became a way to listen – to landscapes, to silence, and to the whispers of those who came before us. Whether capturing the stars on moonless night, the stillness of the desert valley, or the dancing of clouds across mountain peaks, I endeavor to approach my work as both an artist and a storyteller and not only capture what is seen, but what is felt, the timeless connection between earth and sky.

To capture these moments takes patience – allowing the land itself to reveal what it chooses to share in that moment. I have a deep reverence for nature and invite you to come with me into spaces where earth and sky converge, where silence speaks and where the footsteps of our ancestors can be felt as surely as the wind.

When I am not in my studio here in southern Arizona, I spend my time exploring the desert, mountains and valleys that constantly inspire me and compel me to create timeless images of something greater than ourselves, visual reminders that we are part of a much older and ongoing story.

My work has been featured in galleries and private collections and has appeared internationally in Travel Africa magazine Spring 2018, Idaho Adventure Travel Guide 2022, Via Adventure Winter Issue 2019, and JH Style Magazine, Jackson Wy 2018.
